Jugnoo
Jugnoo is an Indian auto rickshaw aggregation platform. Jugnoo provides on-demand transport and logistics facility across 32 cities in India. It operates through a mobile app available on multiple platforms, which helps connect the user (travelers) with the auto drivers in proximity. The innovative service was established in Chandigarh by Samar Singla and Chinmay Agarwal (Alumni IIT-Delhi) in October, 2014.
OLA
It was in late 2010 that Bhavish Aggarwal and Ankit Bhati started Ola, an Indian online transportation aggregator under ANI Technologies Pvt Ltd. Ola has a fleet of over 200,000 cars across 85 cities in India. Ola was valued at $5 billion last year and has only seen its valuation growing since then. Ola has merged technology and transport together to bring mobility for a billion Indians. Inspired by Uber, Ola has beaten its competition hands down in many Indian cities.
Meru Cabs
Meru Cabs wesfounded by Neeraj Gupta in 2007. Meru Cabs has been a forerunner in taxi aggregators based in Mumbai, India. To its biggest credit, this earlier offline aggregator has used technology to advantage and has become one of the leading online players in its genre. As of now, it provides cab booking facilities through multiple options like calls, website or through their mobile application. Meru even has a Cab Wallet system for payments. Meru has now even integrated their service with Google Now.
Mega Cabs
Mega Cabs has been a pioneer in introducing world-class taxi services in India. It has positioned itself as a safe, comfortable and reliable alternative. Founded in 2001 by Kunal Lalani, Mega Cabs, now has over 3,500 cars across seven cities, and has set an ambitious target of taking its fleet size to 25,000 by 2020. In six years, it plans to pump in Rs 4,000 crore, expand to 40 cities, take its revenue to Rs 6,000 crore and leverage more technology. The company was the first to innovate the aggregated car rental model, later followed by the likes of Ola and Uber.
