CLIENT BRIEF: To push the celebration of the 1st of every month as ‘pay day’
CREATIVE TEAM: Piyush Pandey, Abhijit Avasthi, Shekhar Jha, Mahesh Gharat, Samrat Bedi, Kaustubh Mahajan and Shevaun Menezes.
4Ps TAKE: The ad not only depicted a retro feel of the 1940-50’s era, but also added a golden zing to it with its jingle (which is actually a song from Kishore Kumar’s old movie titled Pehli Tarikh!). With close to Rs.90 lakh allocated as the budget for this particular film, the ad was a part of a bigger 360 degree marketing plan that O&M had planned for Cadbury. The confectionery maker also joined hands with an array of banks like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank and sent ‘personalised’ messages to all account holders on their pay day. This one gave one more reason to the audience to indulge in Cadbury’s sweet treat, apart from adding a monthly recall to a ‘happy’ day in consumer life.
