YAMAHA CALLS ON COLLEGES
Aimed at educating young women riders of Delhi University’s Janki Devi Memorial College and Lakshmibai College about safe driving, Yamaha Motor India recently conducted a training event called the Yamaha Female Riding Training, or YFRT. About 180 students from both the colleges participated in the event, which covered various aspects of riding such as handling, riding posture, cornering, braking, turning, general riding, etc. Female riders also got to learn the importance of proper riding gear and the basic knowledge on the usage and maintenance of the vehicle. The YFRT program has already made its mark in cities like Chennai, Pune, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Apart from these big cities, Yamaha plans to foray into smaller cities too and provide training to women there. The YFRT serves as a good platform for Yamaha to lure female audience towards its scooter Ray, which was launched in September last year.
